G I F . I S . I T

Speaking of cultures intertwining in an earlier (The Eurasian Effect) with one another, here's another "hybrid" in a media format. The marriage of still images with moving ones has given birth to gifs. A format of where is neither a photograph nor video, at least that is what I make of it. According to the proper definition, GIF stands for Graphics Interchange Format which essentially is bitmap image format so technically I was wrong when saying it wasn't a photograph as it in fact an "image". Anyway, over the past year or so, this format has become quite popular on the Internet and photographers are taking this opportunity to innovate their folio and abilities to make the short jump into non-still format media. What do you guys think if this? I personally like it. I find the process of making (taking) one is interesting and I am seriously considering adding this to my final year folio project.
