Marcel van der Vlugt's Conceptual Beauty

Netherlands-born Marcel van der Vlugt shows a side to beauty that is often not shown publicly or even, privately. He plays with subjects that are considered taboo to create extremely striking images that may also appear disturbing. Nonetheless, the beauty in his work is apparent.

Marcel puts what most people consider as unusual on the models' faces. Some of what he has used include cheese, salmon and bandages. His images transpire beyond commercial work as they have a fine art edge to it.

His imagery pushes boundaries and creates reactions within the viewer. It makes us ponder about what is normal and what is considered beautiful.

It's Heinz!

Say hello to the Big Red. It's Heinz!

Out of the bottle? It's as fresh as a freshly plucked tomato.

Heinz is the number one world leading ketchup!

Heinz. 100% pure tomatoes.

Sizzle fizzle. It's the hot new ketchup that burns your fries.

Without Heinz, every bite is just like a piece of cardboard.

So fresh, it's growing out of the bottle.

Heinz ads have to be some of my favourite advertising ads. The simplicity and bold idea that they put forth just hits the nail right on the spot almost every single time. The creative power behind these advertisements are smart to not clutter the photographs with any distracting elements. It helps keeps the viewer's eye on the ketchup itself. Lighting used in the ads often mimic a very commercial stylized style that tends to lean towards high key lighting styles.

The minimalism of the ads is complemented by the graphic and clean photography style that they often utilize in their ads. The colour red is obviously a big feature as it's an essential element and symbolic of the ketchup. This works in their favour since the colour just commands attention! It says, "Hey look at me. I'm here! It's Heinz!"

"The Magic of Light Brushes"

Atton Conrad O' murchadha is a  London based Advertising and art Photography. I really get inspired from most of his works. because the way he explore the light, he creates  amazing texture surrounding the objects. like what he did in the examples above, he physical painting the subjects with light brushes and create a dress on the model. The works that he did is really unique for me, because I never seen this kind of style before, they way he matched the object with light creates an amazing result at the end of the final projects.
Using the "light brushes" it helps me putting this kind of style into my folios by using product instead of fashion.

I like Conrad's motto said, " a unique results created by unique methodology", this motto helps me to  try, learn, practice, and study more for using light. Because of that you will be improved with the works that you did and builds a unique images that different than others work.

My concept was to portray a girl. She is dressed in such ways to emphasise her dark side character. What i am trying to express here is that every girls that perhaps people comes across as very strong, tough, or unsentimental but actually there are a very gentle hearts lie within their soul. To show the softness in this concept, i brought a bunny to be a part of the photoshoot.

These are some some roughly edited photos, I did last week with Brazen Talent female model.Model :  Courtney F @Brazen Talent
